A record breaking crowd of 3000 spectators were thrilled as Surrey edged to a 52-50 points win over Mavericks at the Olympic arena on Saturday. Manchester Thunder, who are placed second in the table to Storm, travel down to play Surrey next weekend, encouraged by their 65-35 win over Northumbria.

Surrey Storm maintained their position at the top of the super league beating Team Northumbria 62-42 in Round Six of the competition. Wales Ease Past Singapore

Wales Ladies netball team have triumphed over Singapore Women. Coach Melissa Hyndman hopes this will prove ideal preparation for the forthcoming 2014 Commonwealth Games. Wales started as they meant to go on with a  75-28 win over Singapore. The Welsh squad for the Commonwealth Games is to be announced in May.
